About Me
Hi, I’m Alex—welcome to my little corner of the internet! I’m a Texas girl, born and raised, with a lifelong love of stories. My favorite genres are romance, fantasy, sci-fi, and thrillers, but lately I’ve been pushing myself to branch out into non-fiction and discover new perspectives. When I’m not turning pages, you’ll usually find me in the kitchen baking sweet treats (because every good book deserves a snack!) or hunting down cozy coffee shops. Outside of books and baking, I love to travel, binge-watch my favorite TV shows, attend concerts, and spend time with my family. This blog is my way of blending the things I love—reading and baking—and I’m so happy you’re here to be part of it.
My Rating System
A cozy scale for book lovers and foodies alike.
One Star
A real struggle to finish, and not one I’d recommend. Sometimes books just aren’t the right fit, and this one wasn’t for me.
Two Star
Some sparks of potential, but overall it fell flat. There were a few enjoyable moments, but not enough to keep me invested.
Three Star
A solid, enjoyable read. Not life-changing, but a good story with memorable parts. Worth reading if it fits your mood or favorite genre.
Four Star
An excellent book that kept me hooked and warmed my heart. Almost perfect, and one I’d happily recommend to most readers.
Five Star
Utterly unforgettable and unputdownable — the kind of story that steals your heart and doesn’t give it back. A true favorite I’d recommend to everyone.

Sometimes a story just isn’t the right flavor for me — and that’s okay. This book may not have been to my taste, but it could still be the perfect read for someone else.
