Dewberry Farm is a lively, family-owned farm located in Brookshire, just outside of Katy. Known for creating memorable experiences year-round, the farm hosts a variety of seasonal events for all ages—including their popular Fall Festival, Boorific Nights for Halloween, and A Berry Merry Christmas. We recently visited for their Spring Fest, and it was the perfect mix of outdoor fun, family activities, and festive vibes.
We visited Spring Fest at Dewberry Farm, a festive Easter celebration filled with fun for all ages. Guests can snap photos with the Easter Bunny, enjoy daily egg hunts, indulge in sweet spring treats, pick fresh flowers, meet adorable bunnies, and collect plenty of candy throughout the farm.
Beyond all the seasonal fun, the farm also offers a wide variety of attractions, including giant slides, rides, a Ferris wheel, and a train ride that takes you around the farm. There’s so much to do, making it the perfect place to spend the day with family and friends.
We made the drive out to the farm in a 14-passenger rental van—and honestly, that alone felt like part of the adventure. It wasn’t easy to find one either (spring break had everything booked), but we finally secured one at the airport and hit the road around 11 AM. About an hour later, we arrived right at noon, ready to kick off the day.
Pro tip: always check for deals—because we scored our tickets online during a special sale, even though they normally run around $30.
Since we visited during the Spring Feast, the entire farm was glowing with Easter vibes. There were egg hunts happening throughout the day, plus the cutest photo ops with the Easter Bunny and even an Easter duck. Everywhere you looked, there were bright decorations that made it feel like a full-on seasonal celebration.
The farm itself is huge—and a little dusty—so I highly recommend wearing comfortable tennis shoes (trust me, you’ll be doing a lot of walking). One thing I loved was how convenient everything was. There are restrooms located throughout the farm, which is a must for a full day outing.
Right at the entrance, you’re welcomed by a gift shop filled with souvenirs like t-shirts, candles, candy, toys, and more—perfect if you want to grab a little something to remember the trip. There are also tons of photo opportunities right up front, from the Easter Bunny setup to fun props like oversized flowers, giant boots, and cute farm-themed displays.
And for families with younger kids, there are multiple play areas and parks designed for little ones to run around and burn off energy—making it a great spot for all ages.
The farm was packed with all kinds of food options—there was truly something for everyone. From classic barbecue to a taco stand, corn dogs, chicken burgers, and even alcoholic drinks, you definitely won’t go hungry here. The barbecue stand in particular stood out, offering hearty options like a loaded baked potato topped with brisket and classic cheeseburgers that hit the spot after walking around all day.
One thing to note is that a few food stands were closed for the season, but there were still plenty of options available, so it didn’t take away from the experience at all. Plus, there were lots of seating areas scattered throughout the park, making it easy to sit down, relax, and enjoy your food without feeling rushed.
For dessert, they had fun seasonal treats like snow cones and spring-themed funnel cakes that were almost too cute to eat. There were also adorable specialty sweets, like chocolate-covered Rice Krispie treats shaped like little cows—perfect for the farm vibe and definitely Instagram-worthy.
But the real star of the show? The s’mores funnel cake fries. Absolutely delicious. Crispy, sweet, and loaded with flavor, they were easily one of the best things we had all day—and a must-try if you visit.
The farm also had souvenir stands scattered throughout the park, selling fun items like bubble guns, candy, and other little treats that kids (and honestly adults too) would love. It added to the overall festive vibe and gave you plenty of chances to grab something along the way.
One of my favorite parts was the train that takes you around the park—and yes, it’s free! It’s the perfect chance to sit back, relax, and even sneak in a quick nap after all the walking. The rides ranged from smaller kiddie rides to more thrilling options for the bigger kids, so there’s truly something for every age group. There’s also a trampoline area where kids can jump and burn off even more energy.
And speaking of energy—this place has plenty of space for kids to run around freely and just be kids. It’s huge, which makes it perfect for families who want a full day of fun without feeling cramped.
Another highlight is the animal area, where you can meet and interact with some of the farm animals—definitely a must-see, especially for younger kids.
We arrived around noon and stayed until closing at 5 PM, and honestly, you could easily spend the entire day here. If you really want to get the most out of your visit and your money, I’d definitely recommend arriving right when they open at 10 AM.
Overall, the farm is such a fun experience—especially for kids—and their seasonal festivities make it even more special. Whether it’s Spring Feast, fall festivals, or holiday events, there’s always something going on that makes each visit feel unique. It’s the perfect place for families to spend quality time together, let kids run free, and create lasting memories. I would highly recommend it for families with children—it’s definitely worth the trip!
