Hours of Operation:
Di Beppe was one of my favorite restaurants that we visited in Vancouver. From the moment we walked in, it had such a warm, cozy, and comforting atmosphere that made us want to slow down and enjoy the meal. The restaurant itself is fairly small, so I highly recommend making a reservation, especially during peak dining hours, to ensure you can get a table.
Since Di Beppe is located in the heart of Gastown, on-site parking is limited. We parked in a nearby parking garage, paid for parking, and took a short walk to the restaurant. If you’re visiting the area, that’s probably the easiest option. You could also take an Uber or Lyft, bike, or even use a scooter since Gastown is a very walkable neighborhood.
One of the highlights of our visit was the incredible staff. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and happy to offer recommendations from the menu, which made choosing what to order much easier. The friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and authentic Italian food made this one of the most memorable meals of our trip.
One of my favorite things about Di Beppe is the variety on the menu. Whether you’re looking for a light appetizer, classic Italian pasta, wood-fired pizza, or a decadent dessert, there’s something for everyone.
The menu begins with a selection of antipasti, including dishes like Beef Carpaccio, Burrata Caprese, Vitello Tonnato, Stuffed Castelvetrano Olives, Meatballs di Beppe, fresh salads, marinated olives, and warm House-Made Focaccia served with extra virgin olive oil.
Pizza lovers have plenty of choices, from classics like the Margherita and Americana (pepperoni and mushrooms) to specialty pizzas such as the Diavola, Mortadella, Primavera, Capricciosa, Salsiccia, and Ortolana. If you’re dining with a larger group, many pizzas can also be ordered in a larger size for sharing.
The pasta menu features traditional Italian favorites, and you can choose between spaghetti or rigatoni for most dishes. Options include the simple yet flavorful Pomodoro, creamy Carbonara, Cacio e Pepe, Amatriciana, Puttanesca, Aglio Olio e Peperoncino, and Pesto Rosso. There are also comforting baked dishes like Lasagne alla Bolognese and Eggplant Parmigiana, with gluten-free pasta available for an additional charge.
If you’re visiting during the afternoon, don’t miss Happy Hour, offered daily from 2:00–5:00 p.m. Specials include $15 off any bottle of wine, discounted classic Italian-inspired cocktails like the Aperol Spritz, Negroni, Bellini Italiano, and Limoncello Spritz, along with house wines, prosecco, and draft beer.
Be sure to save room for dessert! Di Beppe offers classic Italian sweets including soft gelato, cannoli, and tiramisu, along with a full coffee menu featuring espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, affogatos, and mochas. For those wanting a true Italian dining experience, there’s also an extensive selection of dessert wines, amari, vermouths, limoncello, and grappas to finish your meal.
We wanted to try a little bit of everything, so we ordered a variety of dishes to share. One thing to know before dining at Di Beppe is that the menu is designed to be enjoyed family-style, meaning the dishes are meant to be shared with everyone at the table rather than served as individual entrées.
To start, we ordered the House-Made Focaccia & EVOO ($7), which came with warm, freshly baked focaccia and house-made extra virgin olive oil for dipping. It was a simple but delicious way to begin the meal.
For our main dishes, we shared two pizzas. The Americana Pizza ($28), topped with pepperoni and mushrooms, was packed with flavor and had a perfectly crisp crust. We also ordered the classic Margherita Pizza ($28), featuring fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomato sauce. Both pizzas were excellent and showcased the restaurant’s authentic Italian flavors.
We also tried the Pomodoro Pasta ($24), a comforting pasta tossed in a rich tomato sauce with fresh basil. Sometimes the simplest dishes are the best, and this pasta was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked.
For drinks, we ordered the Apple & Elderflower Fizz ($13), made with apple, elderflower syrup, lemon, and bitters. Personally, I wasn’t the biggest fan because I’m not a huge fan of carbonated drinks, but my brother absolutely loved it and thought it was refreshing.
Overall, every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. If you’re dining with family or friends, ordering several dishes to pass around the table is definitely the best way to experience everything Di Beppe has to offer.
