The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood

My Review
The Love Hypothesis follows Olive, a PhD student whose life is consumed by research—and a love life that’s virtually nonexistent. Everything changes when she accidentally kisses the brooding professor, Adam, and the two agree to enter a fake relationship that ends up benefiting them both.
I absolutely loved this novel—the writing style, the characters, the plot—truly everything about it worked for me. Olive is a fantastic main character who perfectly captures the chaos and exhaustion of being an overworked grad student constantly stumbling into awkward situations. Adam, on the other hand, is the ideal brooding professor type—quiet and intense on the surface, but with a soft, caring side that comes out beautifully as the story unfolds.
The supporting characters were equally wonderful, each bringing humor, heart, and loyalty to the story (with one notable exception—no spoilers!). I adored the academic setting; it felt authentic, smart, and added a refreshing twist to the romance. The relationship between Olive and Adam was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy, and watching them slowly get to know each other was both funny and tender.
The ending tied everything together in such a satisfying way and left me genuinely excited to dive deeper into Ali Hazelwood’s world. The Love Hypothesis is a charming, heartfelt, and intelligent romance that completely lives up to the hype.
“I’m starting to wonder if this is what being in love is. Being okay with ripping yourself to shreds, so the other person can stay whole.”
